This book will open your eyes. Whether you are a meat eater or a vegetarian/vegan. You will learn what it means to eat meat, and what those dollars go towards and what they support. For those meat eaters, this will be a hard book to get through. You will learn a lot that may change your life forever.

Honest and Informative

Jonathan touches very fully on many of the issues surrounding eating animals. Letters written by, as well as interviews with, workers from multiple ranches and slaughterhouses, PETA, activists and family farmers give a very honest look from all sides at what eating animals means for people(workers, consumers, those in the third world), the environment and the animals. Jonathan is respectful of the people he interviews, unlike many who write on this topic. This is the least biased book I have read about meat. This is a must read for anyone who wants to be informed on this topic.
