I love this dark view of a totalitarian country with the big brother definition. You should read Haruki Murakami "IQ84", as well.

A beautiful Tragedy
June 11th, 2015
This story is dark. Its full of crushed dreams and ominous foreshadowing, and its absolutely beautiful. The dark dipiction underscores the darkside of the human society. It is exactly how I imagine China or North Korea. (Especially the latter) i shudder to think that this is possible, but the horror I now feel at the end of this story is precisely because it is possible. Everyone on this planet should read this book less the society fall into the role of proles and governance moves in an Orwelleon direction.
