Synopsis

All is lost. Evil will soon consume the D'Haran Empire. Richard Rahl lies on his funeral bier. It is the end of everything.

Except what isn't lost is Kahlan Amnell. Following an inner prompting beyond all reason, the last Confessor will wager everything on a final desperate gambit, and in so doing, she will change the world forever.

Terry Goodkind's Warheart is the direct sequel to, and the conclusion of, the story begun in The Omen Machine, The Third Kingdom, and Severed Souls.

An ok ending to a great series

I've loved the sword of truth series but the last few books in the series have been wanting in originalitu, and have been bogged down by many useless passages that overexplain topics or events. I find myself skimming or grudgingly reading through those passages to get to the meat and adventure of the books. The same can be said of this book. While a satisfying conclusion of sorts was acheived the character's and villains in this last saga of the SOT series felt poorly developed, and other strong characters thst we've ome to know and love simply faded in the background(especially Kahlan). So much so that you could erase them from the story and still have the same plot, and don't even get me started on the mundaness of Zedd's death... which didn't effect any of the characters significantly... and thus didn't effect me as significantly as i felt it should. I found myself wading through boring passages and it wasn't until the last few chaphters that i really felt things pick up and come together. The relationship between richard and kahlan was weakly developed and too cliche, and Kahlan lost all of her strength.

    Warheart

Amazing climax, and a fitting ending to the sword of Truth series. Terry Goodkind did not disappoint.

    Once again

A work of pure genius. A tale of sacrifice, honor, and above all else love. Terry Goodkind will always be my favorite author. Thank you so much.

    It was totally great

It was totally awesome. I couldn't put it down. From start to finish it enthralled me. I liked how past characters came back for a ‘hello' when least expected. Got to love the Mord-Sith as well!!!!! Lol
