Synopsis

Tom Mauser has written a book about his experiences as the father of a victim of the Columbine massacre—everything from his experience of the massacre itself, to his role as a nationally-recognized gun control advocate, to adoption of a child, to leading a campaign to change Colorado's gun laws, to being harassed by gun rights activists, to addressing the issue of forgiveness.

Walking in Daniel's Shoes: A Father's Journey Through Grief, Controversy, Activism, and Healing Following His Son's Death at Columbine

Excellent, heart-wrenching and thought-provoking
May 22nd, 2013
The massacre at Columbine took place the year I would have been graduating, like the shooters and many victims. It hit home for me - these were my peers... how could this happen? Tom Mauser's book gave me great insight into the massacre, but also the deep grief of a parent, activism, and bring thrust into an unwanted spotlight. There's no sugar-coating. A read that opens your eyes.
