let two great minds talk
November 12th, 2014
Basically Timothy Snyder, having a great understanding of the history of Europe in the 20th century, engages with Tony Judt, who himself has a brilliant grasp on not only the history, but also the minds that shaped the way we read that history. This results in an extremely interesting dialogue that keeps moving between bits of history and thought of the past century, illuminating the fascinating world that was the 20th century thought. As that century contains some of the worst military conflicts in history, going through some of the trains of thought during and around those wars was very intriguing.
