Synopsis

This visionary narrative follows the alluring and lethal protagonist Eden, in her odyssey of the supernatural. The story begins with the foreign nation of Baalbek marching against Eden’s home country of Abrasia. Baalbek was once a small and primitive land, but now they have awakened a powerful forgotten force, magic! Using this archaic power, the Baalbek army has spread like a plague across the known world. The Baalbek hordes sweep close to Eden and her new husband Brandt. The lovers become caught up in the war and Brandt, her husband, is killed at the hands of an enemy soldier.

Distraught and alone, she is sold into slavery in the Baalbek nation. Fortune smiles on her and she is bought by a very kind Baalbek commander named Ashton. He tells Eden that he is defecting and joining a group of rebels. Ashton invites Eden to join and have a chance at revenge against the people who took Brandt from her. Ashton displays his kindness by having Eden’s husband buried in a private cemetery in Baalbek. Astounded by his benevolence she agrees and the two journey to the distant nation to join the rebel group. Along the way Eden learns that there is a secret source of the magic the Baalbeks are using, demons!

These demons, known as atmos in the story, act as magical conduits. They bathe the Baalbeks in power and success. These creatures are the sole reason for the success of their war machine. But they have a weakness, and the rebels plan to exploit it. According to ancient lore, the atmos were nearly exterminated by the prophets of old. These prophets used a forgotten mystical force, spirit, to perform their miracles. The rebels come up with an ingenious plan to give Eden this lost power, and unleash her on the dark beings.

A classic struggle of good versus evil ensues as the last light of hope, Eden, battles the forces of darkness that stand ready to take the whole world. Twist after plot twist, Eden battles her way to the heart of Baalbek to claim her revenge.
