Synopsis

This is not a "How to train" a bird dog book. It is a collection of stories written by the author since 1966 when he got his first bird dog, an English setter.

Some of these stories are meant to be humorous, some serious.

There are hunting stories and even some written about the thirty years he dabbled in field trials.

A new bird dog owner might enjoy the author's adventures that went from the Canadian Maritime Provinces, to the prairies of Saskatchewan, and from the Michigan grouse woods to quail hunting in the south that eventually extended to the deserts of the New Mexico and Arizona.

It is through his field trial and bird hunting adventures that he met the "Good Ones and Scallywags."
