Synopsis

“Doctor” Nick is a full time golf teaching professional with over 30 years’ experience of coaching recreational, club and professional players. His friends call him “Doctor”, because of his reputation for making sick golf swings better. Nick was born in England and first learned to play golf at the home of golf, St. Andrews, Scotland. Today he runs a busy teaching practice based in beautiful County Clare, Ireland.
Perhaps a little different to the usual golf books; “Better Golf Tips” is not the latest swing secret, putting bible or master class in sports psychology. It is a bestselling collection of tips, tricks and drills that I have written and had published over the last few years. Although many golfers would benefit from a swing rebuild and structured programme of development, the truth is that most do not have the time, commitment or money to put into a process that can take even top players two to three years to complete. In practice, most recreational players try different tips and ideas they pick up from magazines or golf shows.  Many of my clients have read my instructional series “To the Fore” and asked if I would ever put the tips into one book - so I did. This book contains some of the most popular tips from the series, with each page being a separate tip, drill or collection of connected thoughts. You can read this book from cover to cover or just flick through. The photographs are all captured from high speed video of actual swings, rather than posed situations, and consequently represent more accurately, the moves required to improve your golf swing. Golf readers, players, coaches and professional golfers agree that the content is top quality, and will improve your game.
“This is a great book! Unlike so many golf books on the market today, that we will only read once, this book is a comprehensive reference book that you will read over and over again. “Doctor” Nick covers so many day-to-day golfing problems, and gives simple solutions that are easy to follow. The illustrations are excellent and really add to the conversational style the book is written in, which anyone will be able to understand. “Better Golf Tips” is full of great tips about the full swing, the shortgame, course management and even golf psychology. This is a “must buy” for any golf enthusiast and would be useful for golfers at all levels. Nick is a golf coach that is in touch with the real issues and everyday situations that greet us on the golf course. There are so many helpful hints in this book - you will not be disappointed; a highly recommended read.” Richard Clarke - Master golf professional
